Halloween Service!

All Hallows Eve Service at Christ Church Cathedral

Hey Kids!

What did one ghost say to the other ghost?
“Do you believe in people?”

Come in your Halloween costume on Halloween morning! Children, we are planning an exciting service and there will be no class downstairs. On Halloween everyone stays upstairs for the whole service!

For Adults:

All Souls and All Saints Day at Christ Church Cathedral

October 31st also marks the closest Sunday to All Saints and All Souls Day. We will remember by name loved ones whose memorial services or funerals have been held since November 1st, 2009. At all the services on Sunday, October 31st, 2010 we will read these names, giving thanks to God for the gift of their lives and praying for those who mourn their deaths. Remembrance Forms are available on the narthex table and from the Parish Office. Please fill out the form and drop it off at the Parish Office, place it in the collection plate or donation box, or leave it on the narthex table. Submissions must be received by October 24th, 2010.

All Hallow’s Eve Food Collection for LUMS:

The Cathedral is looking to have a large collection of food to donate to our partners in the Lutheran Urban Mission Society (LUMS). Pastor Brian Heinrich, honorary Cathedral clergy member and LUMS street priest, will be at the Cathedral to receive our offerings this Sunday. Families are invited to have children bring food donations in their Halloween pumpkins/bags.

Brian has sent the following list of items that would be of most value:
