Getting Here & Parking

Christ Church Cathedral is grateful to have parking privileges at Park Place for Sunday mornings and most weekday evenings after 6 p.m. to enable those who drive downtown to park for free.

Confirmations 2013 – Special Parking Arrangements

April 21 & April 28
All parishioners/visitors attending Sunday services or Confirmations displaying the Cathedral Parking Pass park for free. The parkade gates will be open until 8pm (please remember the parkade can be accessed from the elevator vestibule at 666 Burrard street – after hours please buzz security)

Free Parking: Sundays, Weekday Evenings, X-mas and Easter

Alternatives to A Bequest - Legacy Gifts at Christ Church Cathedral VancouverOn Sundays:  Parking is available to anyone attending worship services on Sunday mornings.  You will need a Cathedral Parking Pass which can be downloaded below.  Your Parking Pass must be clearly displayed on the dash of your vehicle while it is parked in the parkade.

On Weekday Evenings:  Parking is available to anyone attending worship services after 6:00PM during the weekday. Parking is also available for Cathedral members for meetings at the Cathedral after 6:00PM. Pass required.

Christmas and Easter: Special parking arrangements are made for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve.  Check back for seasonal updates to this schedule.

Reduced Parking Fees: Saturdays

Bishop Michael Ingham - Photo Credit: Bayne StanleyFor special Cathedral worship services and Cathedral events on Saturdays, parking will be made available in the Park Place parkade for a cost of $5.50 per car.  Sorry, the Cathedral cannot offer free parking for concerts or events promoted and /or produced by outside users or partnership groups.

Sorry, the Cathedral cannot offer free parking for concerts or events promoted and /or produced by outside users or Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver partnership groups.

Free weekday parking is restricted to community members attending Christ Church meetings, Cathedral services or Christ Church Cathedral produced events where parking access has been advertised.

 

 

Parking Pass (Free Download Here!)

Click Here to Download a Cathedral Parking Pass (Adobe Acrobat required), or pick one up before parking, either from the office or from one of our friendly greeters in the narthex before worship services.  The Parking Pass must be shown to attendants when requested (there are not always attendants when you drive in), and must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle while your vehicle is in the parkade.

 

 

 

Go Green (Green Transportation Altenatives)

Christ Church Cathedral encourages visitors and parishioners to go green – a part of stewarding God’s creation.

 

 

 

 

Skytrain/Canada Line: The Burrard Street Station on the SkyTrain line is directly across the street from the Cathedral.  The Vancouver City Centre Canada Line Station is 2 blocks east of the Cathedral.

Bus: There are several major bus routes that stop directly in front of the Cathedral, and dozens more that stop at Granville and Georgia, only a 2 minute walk away.

SeaBus: The downtown SeaBus birth is located a short 10 minute walk from the Cathedral.

Bike Routes: The Cathedral is located one block west of the new Horby Bike Lane, and one block south of the new Dunsmuir Bike Lane.

Bike Storage:  There is  a bike rack located next to the lower entrance of the Cathedral, on Burrard Street, close to the waterfalls. Unfortunately there is no bicycle parking available in Park Place Parkade.

Location of Park Place Parkade: 660 Hornby Street

Cathedral Parking is located in Park Place Parkade, on Hornby street, on the left after the lane as you approach Dunsmuir Street.

Please note that you will need a Cathedral Parking Pass to enter Park Place Parkade and that it must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle while you are parked. You can download it below to print (Adobe Acrobat required), or you can pick one up from one of our friendly greeters at our worship services.
